Moths of Love

Larvae spewed across
the expanse
of universes
wriggle in their
life experiences
consume and grow
yearning to know --
what it is they
will be.
Shedding skins and
gaining wings
these larvae become
moths swarming 'round
the warmth of suns.
Some look outward
toward a source so
distant and far,
not knowing
what it is they are
drawn toward.
Perceiving a distant center,
an eminence more brilliant
than a million suns,
and the flight begins.
Each turns within
and examines,
questions,
"What am I
to become?"
Drawn ever inward
to universe's center
on a thousand flights
and more,
each moth is drawn
to the Creator's light
that glows from
without and within.
Once conscious of our
lighted union,
the flight becomes
one of necessity
to join with
our beginnings.
Moths drawn
to the light of love --
there one day
to become one again.
