Inspirations for Spiritual Growth
By
Daniel Raphael, Ph.D.
This small
book originated as a series of 20 aphorisms
for Sacred Relationships, A Guide to
Authentic Loving. These aphorisms were
eventually edited from the published book,
but remain as inspirations for wisdom.

INTRODUCTION
Reassess your life and how you live it.
It is larger than you believe and has
dimensions for fulfillment that you
cannot imagine if you think this is all
there is.
1
DISCOVERING THE PATH OF SPIRITUAL GROWTH
Your
Creator has in store for you a plan of
growth that would astound any human in
their grandest imaginative dreams. You
will grow. You will become less material
in each phase of your infinite spiritual
career. It will be slow until you will
to participate in the unfoldment of that
plan. Then you will rapidly swing into
orbit like a comet to eventually become
one with the Center of the Grand
Universe.
5 PROBLEMS:
A SOURCE OF GROWTH
The
Creator is immensely benevolent and
wise. The problems you encounter in life
are only as large and as difficult as
you think they are. The largest problems
you will ever have to overcome are those
within yourself.
7 BELIEFS,
ISSUES, AND HEALING
The
capacity of The Creator is unfathomable.
As your Father-Mother-God, She was large
enough to create the universe, and
compassionate enough to be available to
you from within yourself to comfort and
heal every injury you have ever
experienced. You only have to believe it
is so.
12 EGO IN
RELATIONSHIPS
The
most difficult and trying relationship
you will ever have is the one with your
ego. Many mortals, even as physical
death approaches, still have not subdued
their unruly ego. Until the ego is under
control, the duration of any meaningful
relationship that comes into your life
is questionable.
16
UNDERSTANDING PAIN AND DISAPPOINTMENT IN
RELATIONSHIPS
Mortals
consistently protest to pain and
disappointment in their lives. Yet,
without pain there would be no
observable sign that says, "Not this
way." Without disappointment, there
would be no hope. Only through the
experiences of pain and disappointment
do mortals grow to become valiant souls
with great survival value. Experiencing
these in your mortal relationships
provides you with growth and the wisdom
to appreciate the sublime relationships
you will experience in the hereafter.
