About Psychic Phenomena
Introduction
Psychic phenomena are not new, but evidenced
in the long and ancient traditions of
shamanism, soothsaying, fortune telling, and
many other names for these activities.
For the curious reader, I invite you to
explore the Wikipedia link below, and follow
the discussion about psychic and related
phenomena:

The phenomena in question fall into two
broad groups: Extra-Sensory Perception (ESP)
also known as anomalous cognition, and the
second group being anomalous operation.
Extra-sensory perception (ESP) is also known
as anomalous cognition, and includes
telepathy, clairvoyance, clairaudience,
clairalience, clairgustance, clairsentience,
precognition, postcognition, psychometry,
and dream transference.
Anomalous operation includes psychokinesis
(in the past referred to as telekinesis),
pyrokinesis, psychogenesis, out-of-body
experiences, astral projection, near-death
experiences, mediumship, and reincarnation.
Psychic abilities frequently occur in people
who have experienced a traumatic closed-head
injury, used psychedelic drugs, or have the
genetic potential for psychic experience
that is waiting to be developed.
Fundamental Psychic Senses parallel our five
senses of sight, hearing, touch, smell, and
taste.
Time/Temporal – For the psychic, time is a
continuous stream of “now” to be explored.
Consciousness is that “part of our being”
that is limitless in its capacity to know.
Consciousness is the psychic’s probe that
can be extended into the dimensions of space
and time, into the past or the future, and
the “spiritual” dimensions of the universe.
All that is needed for consciousness to
operate is will! Consciousness...
curiosity...ask a meaningful
question...engage your will-to-know and the
universe unfolds within your mind’s eye!
Where do Psychic Abilities come from?
Psychic abilities come with your genetic
package!
The strength of their existence is as
mysterious as the extraordinary physical
attributes of Lance Armstrong, who won seven
Tour de France races. Most people have some
latent psychic abilities. When they are
exercised they become more active and
developed. Yet, for some people, they seem
non-existent and no matter how much they
practice, their psychic abilities do not
develop any further. For others, their
abilities are fully developed without
practice.
“Spiritual” “Spiritual” is the name given to
the non-material universe. Simply put, there
is the material universe and the
non-material universe — the universe we see
and are familiar, and the unseen or
“spiritual” universe that we usually do not
see and are unfamiliar.
Our closest encounters with the spiritual
universe are through our psychic senses.
Occasionally, we are blessed to see the
rising spirit of a person who has
immediately just died — and through this
gateway we encounter what we call “the
afterlife.” Personally, for each of us,
“death” is our gateway to the vast spiritual
universe.
